The Schnapps Shot- Sponsored by Wild Brumby
Just when you think you have it all sorted out, something or somebody usually comes along to put you back in your box.
Alas Mother Nature showed us who is really in charge out at Middling Bank for the April Club shoot. She didn’t give us the full winter treatment, but thought that she should remind us to be on our best behavior.
Having said that it’s not often that one can go and shoot sporting clays in a snow storm and so it will give us something to talk about at the next shoot. There’s something about the white flakes that is confusing or maybe it’s just that it was bloody cold.
Fortunately for all the shoot was sponsored by the Wild Brumby Distillary and with that in the back of our minds 33 shooters braved the conditions to shoot through the morning to see an improvement in the conditions in the afternoon.
The weather must have suited Bill Warriner who with two excellent rounds of 24 an 25 took out the day with an overall 91/100 twelve shots clear of Curl’s who won A grade with a 79. Other results
A Grade, 1st Terrence Thistleton 79, 2nd Philip Craig 79, 3rd Rick Adams 76
B Grade, 1st Mark Raabe 71, 2nd Colin Brownlie 68, 3rd Andrew Fairfield-Smith 68

Our next shoot is May 17th. The “Perazzi Young Guns Challenge” which will hopefully attract some of the up and coming juniors from around the state. This will be run in conjunction with our normal May club shoot so come one come all.
Thanks to Colin Brownlie, Jimmy White and Adam for helping setup on the Saturday and of course the girls in the office.
